A proportion of my time each week is devoted to pro bono work. I see some patients who cannot afford to pay, free of charge.
As the Mindsci Clinic is in Richmond, Surrey, some of my patients are very wealthy, but not all of them. Some save up to buy toilet paper.
Although my fees (£87.00/session) are far from the most expensive, some people who need my help cannot afford it. There is, sadly, a limit to how many patients' treatment I can finance (i.e., treat for free) personally. Wealthy patients are invited (but certainly not expected or obliged) to offer an extra 15% (£13.00) when they feel like it towards the treatment of those who do not have such resources.
I also hold a free, monthly, group, relaxation and feel-good session for the staff of Kingston NHS Trust Hospital, in addition to my being their appointed Clinical Hypnotist.
