Group Supervision

I hold quarterly group clinical supervision sessions for trainee and practising hypnotherapists, and clinical hypnotists.

Sessions take place on Saturday afternoons, and are held in Seminar Room 1, on the first floor of the Library at Richmond University, Queen's Road, Richmond-upon-Thames, TW10 6JP, starting at 14:00 and lasting 3 hours until 17:00.

Richmond Uni LibraryThe next Group Clinical Supervision - Hypnotherapy (GCS-H) session will be on 17th November 2012.

GCS-H dates for the rest of 2012 can be found here once they have been arranged.

Attendance costs £35 per person. Places have to be pre-booked (a requirement of university security), and are restricted to those who have trained or are training in hypnosis, including distance learning.  These sessions are of value mainly to those interested in clinical/remedial hypnosis as I don't do any onion = apple stuff, but stage hypnotists are welcome too.

When reserving a place, applicants are invited to specify a hot topic. Whichever hot topic gets most requests, be it rapid inductions, past life regressions, parts therapy or whatever, is where the meeting begins. Where it leads is down to the zeitgeist.

The afternoon is a mixture of lecture, debate, experience-sharing, practical demonstrations and opportunities to 'have a go'. The structure is fairly loose but I maintain productive order.

Look here for an outline of the most recent session, or here for an independent appraisal, or here for feedback from participants.

These sessions qualify for supervision and CPD credits with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), and as CPD credits for the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the Association of Professional Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (APHP) and the National Guild of Hypnotists (USA). Sadly, LCCH will only allow supervision/tutorial credits within the constraints of their system, despite which the sessions have proved very popular with LCCH alumni who have attended. However, the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) recognises sessions as master classes and grants CPD credits accordingly. (BSCH Assocs joining before March 2003 can achieve full membership by attending 12 sessions.) All sessions are certificated.

If you think £35 is a small price to pay for the best clinical hypnotism supervision and CPD available anywhere in the known omniverse, please complete and send your Application Form without delay. If you would rather use Paypal than send a cheque, use this button.
